TARGET IRAN: The Mad King George Smirks: We'll Win Big This Time!!! (This Time???)
01.23.05 (7:47 am) [edit]

THE WORLD ACCORDING TO MATTHEW AND GEORGE
LOS ANGELES -- When Richard Nixon was inaugurated in January 1969, the cartoonist Herblock, who had been drawing the new president with a nasty 5 o'clock shadow, saluted the winner with a cartoon showing him getting a clean shave by a barber who looked like Herblock himself. Herb Block, his full name, said every new president gets one free shave in his shop.
Herb was a wonderful and gentle man -- except on the printed page of The Washington Post. I wanted to be as generous last Thursday as George W. Bush took the oath for his second term. And I had reason: I was impressed that the president had said the other day he had learned something about the reach and influence of his words, that the most powerful man in the world should not be going around saying things like, "Bring 'em on."
Yes! One of the hardest lessons for a president to absorb after a normal life of not being listened to very much is that people listen to every word he utters and act on those words. Bill Clinton, sitting behind Bush, learned that when he said casually that maybe we were discriminating against Haitian refugees by turning them back from our coast. The next day Haitian coasts were aloud with the sound of hammers as thousands of people began building boats.
Listening to Bush this time, I realized I'll never be as big a man as Herb Block. What I heard was my president declaring war on the world, concluding: "America, in this young century, proclaims liberty throughout all the world and to all the inhabitants thereof ..."
That was the conclusion, a logical one, of a speech truly biblical in tone, a truly crusading speech that projected lines such as: "Today America speaks anew to the peoples of the world. All who live in tyranny and hopelessness can know the United States will not ignore your oppression or excuse your oppressors. When you stand for your liberty, we will stand with you. ... Democratic reformers facing repression, prison or exile can know: America sees you ..."
The text of his onward sermon was from the New King James Bible, Matthew 10:29: "Are not two sparrows sold for a copper coin?" said Jesus. "And not one of them falls to the ground apart from your Father's will."
Now, it seems, no one falls without America seeing. "The untamed fire of freedom will reach the darkest corners of our world," said Bush.
"I ask our youngest citizens to believe the evidence of your eyes. You have seen duty and allegiance in the determined faces of our soldiers. You have seen that life is fragile and evil is real and courage triumphs. Make the choice to serve in a cause larger than your wants, larger than yourself ..." Is that not exactly what fundamentalist mullahs are asking of their children? Is this not our jihad?
At home, our leader promised: "By making every citizen an agent of his or her own destiny, we will give our fellow Americans greater freedom from want and fear and make our society more prosperous and just and equal."
That was one of the few lines and thoughts that did not appear to come from Scripture. It came, I think, from Anatole France, discussing equality, law and justice at the turn of the last old century: "The law, in its majestic equality, forbids the rich as well as the poor to sleep under the bridges of Paris, to beg in the streets, and to steal bread."
All of this, said the president, speaking the untruth at the soul of this extraordinary speech to us and to the world: "We go forward with complete confidence. ... Not because we consider ourselves a chosen nation; God moves and chooses as He wills."
Of course, we do consider ourselves a chosen nation. That was what the speech was about.
After the ceremony, I went back to work sobered by my own inadequacy, my own inability to suspend disbelief in the face of God's work and the huge ideas of the people running my country. And, as the end of a line of Protestant ministers, I was glad again that holy men no longer have armies -- most of them, anyway. - http://www.uexpress.com/richa...

George W. Bush, Der Fuhrer, The Great Divider
12.14.04 (12:48 pm) [edit]
NEO-CONS' ELITE FARCE

George W. Bush, the great divider, wins on MORAL issues??? The most IMMORAL man on the planet, mouths his "Christianity" He touts his "Born Again" identity - but the man doesn't walk the walk. He's a liar, a murderer and a thief. Supporting Israel [Ariel Sharon & His Right-Wing Likud Party] at all costs in the current destruction of the Arab peoples is nothing short of supporting genocide.
Elected by American "Christians", our nation is now condemned to an increasing quagmire in the Middle East, a new crusade for world domination. I don't think your god will forgive you people.
Properly electing him this time means the world will not forgive us, we freely chose the new Hitler, we choose world domination, the continuation of PNACs http://www.pnac.info/ plan for a New World Order.
Bring on Armageddon then the rapture, where god brings his faithful to heaven. Well hurry up and get off the planet, the rest of us will pick up the pieces, clean up the filth you covered the planet with and start again - this time without religion and the hatred, greed and pure evil that goes with it.
Next war, Syria, Iran, then on to Venezuela, the New Crusade marches on.
By March, the president will declare the need for a new draft which will include women - not his daughters of course, they will be given some nice, safe job.
May all the gods who ever were, are or will be have mercy on us. - http://www.eforce-george.com/... .

US Kids Prefer Kerry over Bush 57% to 43% - Revealing the REAL Trend across All Age Groups
AP: http://news.yahoo.com/news?tm... "Kid power! Democrat John Kerry is the winner, and the rest of the country should pay attention because the vote on Nickelodeon's Web site has correctly chosen the president of the United States in the past four elections. Nearly 400,000 children and teens voted, and the results were released Wednesday. Kerry received 57 percent of the vote; President Bush got 43 percent. Nickelodeon has been airing information on the Nov. 2 election, plus sponsoring debates where kids could put forth their views on the environment, the war in Iraq and terrorism. Some animated shows on the cable channel also have been focusing on the election. Linda Ellerbee, who writes and hosts "Nick News," says their voting usually reflects their parents' views รข?? but not all the time." Just the last FOUR elections...make that FIVE.

...... Why The Generals 'Never' Requested More Troops ......
10.19.04 (6:07 pm) [edit]

Bush Not Only Failed Our Troops - He Lied to America About their Plight!
Kerry campaign: http://releases.usnewswire.co... "On Dec. 4, 2003, Army Lt. Gen. Ricardo S. Sanchez wrote in a letter "to the number two officer in the Army, with copies to other senior officials, that his soldiers still needed protective inserts to upgrade 36,000 sets of body armor, but that their delivery twice had been postponed in the month before he was writing." (Washington Post, 10/17/04) The NEXT DAY, Dec. 5, 2003, Bush told Americans the troops had everything they needed: "Three years ago, our military was not receiving the resources it needed and morale was beginning to suffer. So we increased the defense budgets to prepare for the threats of a new era. And today, no one in the world can question the skill and the strength and the spirit of the United States military." More horrible still, the Bush "campaign machine" has produced phony polls showing that "most" soldiers in Iraq think Bush is handling things just peachy keen - putting an even bigger wedge between our troops and reality.
Major Knight-Ridder Investigative Report Reveals that Planning for Iraq Invasion and Aftermath was 'Non-existent'
Editor and Publisher: http://www.editorandpublisher... "Knight Ridder's Washington bureau, which in the past two years has produced a string of important exclusives related to the Iraq war (and prewar), offered evidence today about poor or "non-existent" planning for the U.S. occupation of Iraq, as well as the failure to provide 100,000 more troops military commanders had wanted. The article...was based on official documents and on interviews with more than three dozen current and former military and civilian officials who participated directly in planning for the war and its aftermath. Some senior officials spoke about their concerns for the first time, the story said. The authors quote a veteran State Department officer who was directly involved in Iraq policy saying, "We didn't go in with a plan. We went in with a theory."
